One of the UK’s largest staffing firms Hales Jobs has recently released an infographic highlighting some of the most important things job seekers must do to keep the momentum of their job search going during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The infographic features four key points that Hales Jobs feels are absolutely crucial if someone is to succeed when looking to find a new role during the uncertainty of these times:
• Don’t give up – keep your job search going – even if a company isn’t actively hiring during this period; they will eventually need to fill their vacancies.
• Keep up to date – as always, the key to finding the right role is by creating a good CV, with an eye-catching cover letter.
• Take to social media – LinkedIn is a great place to connect with recruiters, business owners and like-minded colleagues, if you don’t yet have an active LinkedIn profile, now is the time to make one.
• Familiarise yourself with video calls – most companies will only be able to conduct phone and video interviews at this time. However, it’s still important to be prepared and ready as you would be for a face-to-face interview.
